A new Gran Turismo game for PlayStation 5 is looking more and more likely, with a bunch of Gran Turismo related trademarks now being filed just days before the PS5 reveal event.

Over on ResetEra, fans have discovered that Sony Interactive Entertainment has recently renewed several Gran Turismo trademarks - including the Gran Turismo title, logo and series developer logo Polyphony Digital - over in Argentina.

While license trademarks are renewed all the time, what makes this interesting is the date they were filed: June 3rd/4th, which was the original date of the PlayStation 5 reveal event. Sony inevitably delayed the show to June 11th, however this could suggest the publisher plans to reveal a new entry during todays showcase.

Recently, we reported a leak from racing cockpit maker Next Level Racing, who seemingly outed Gran Turismo 7 on an Instagram post with a logo stating the game is set to launch this year. Next Level Racing have since issued a statement claiming the logo was fan-made and the company has no knowledge of a new Gran Turismo game.

With Creative Director Kazunori Yamauchi confirming in July 2019 that the next Gran Turismo game is in development, and earlier this year announcing that GT Sport updates will be winding down, all signs are pointing towards a new Gran Turismo game on the horizon.

Will you be tuning into the PlayStation 5 reveal showcase later today? Be sure to stay tuned for all the latest news from the showcase, especially if we see a reveal of a long-rumored Gran Turismo PS5 game.
