From classic vehicles and tracks to the reintroduction of the legendary GT Simulation Mode - Gran Turismo 7 brings together the best features from past insta...

One of the biggest reveals is that Gran Turismo 7 will feature a full-fledged career mode for players to enjoy, after its absence in GT Sport and one many requested during the title’s life cycle.

“Today I would like to share with everyone some information about the new Gran Turismo that we are very excited about. I think this new Gran Turismo should make fans very happy, especially with the campaign mode. It should be something fun to look forward to.”

While Polyphony have yet to reveal anything of Gran Turismo 7’s career mode, GT Town - the name given to GT7’s map-like home screen - shows areas including Missions, School, Special Events, and Championships.

GT Town also features numerous areas including Brand Central, Scapes from GT Sport and an all-new area called GT Cafe (which we assume may be an online lobby/ hub area). The most notable of areas showcased on the GT4-esque map is the return of Used Cars, GT Auto and Tuning Parts Shop, which were absent in GT Sport.

Car Tuning in Gran Turismo 7 looks much like previous titles, where players can spend their credits to buy parts to upgrade their car. Parts showcased in the trailer include items such as ECU, air filter, exhaust, flywheel, suspension, brakes, tires, gearbox and more.

Parts in the tuning shop are split into different categories of performance, with the parts showcased in the trailer being “Entry” level parts. Categories include Entry, City, Sports, Racing and Extreme - with the latter containing the most powerful upgrades for your car that players will progress their way up to.

GT Auto and the Used Cars dealership have yet to be shown, however its most likely they will work like they did in previous titles - where players can wash their car and change the oil in GT Auto.

Fan-favorite fictional track ‘Trial Mountain’ returns in Gran Turismo 7, which could signal the return of many of the franchises’ fictional courses reimagined for the next-generation of Gran Turismo. Various real-world tracks have been confirmed, with the trailer showing tracks including Northern Isle Speedway, Blue Moon Bay Speedway, Willow Springs and Daytona in the GT World menu.

As spotted by GTPlanet, tracks such as Laguna Seca, Interlagos, Goodwood, Brands Hatch, Sardegna, Circuit Sainte-Croix, Le Mans, Nurburgring, Spa, Red Bull Ring, Catalunya, Dragon Trail, Lago Maggiore, and Monza are all set to reappear from GT Sport.

Several new cars have been spotted in Gran Turismo 7, with the most prominent being the Mazda RX-Vision which recently debuted in GT Sport. New vehicles include the BAC Mono, Porsche 917K and the Porsche Carrera GT.

Polyphony have also brought back the Performance Points (PP) rating system from GT5 and GT6 for cars, in addition to the N-class system introduced in Sport.
