After a seven month wait since the previous Story Trailer, the latest trailer for the highly-anticipated open world western Red Dead Redemption 2 has been revealed, showcasing an extensive new look at the story of Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang as they are being hunted by Federal Agents and Bounty Agents after a robbery goes wrong.

America, 1899. The end of the wild west era has begun as lawmen hunt down the last remaining outlaw gangs. Those who will not surrender or succumb are killed.

After a robbery goes badly wrong in the western town of Blackwater, Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang are forced to flee. With federal agents and the best bounty hunters in the nation massing on their heels, the gang must rob, steal and fight their way across the rugged heartland of America in order to survive. As deepening internal divisions threaten to tear the gang apart, Arthur must make a choice between his own ideals and loyalty to the gang who raised Him.

During the trailer we also get a brief glimpse of the original Red Dead Redemption's protagonist John Marston, with the fresh facial scars he has in the original. Considering Red Dead Redemption 2 is a prequel to the original, and that John Marston was apart of Dutch's gang, it makes sense that he would make an appearance in Red Dead Redemption 2.

While this trailer is purely cinematic and didn't show us any gameplay, it is save to assume based on Rockstar's previous track records with games such as Grand Theft Auto V, a gameplay reveal will come sometime this summer, with a Red Dead Redemption Online reveal closer to release.

Back in February, we reported on a huge Red Dead Redemption 2 leak revealing several features currently unknown about the game, including side activities such as fishing and gold mining, purchasable online houses, the return of Eagle Eye, first person perspective and even a Battle Royale mode.
