Forza Horizon 4's Next Update Adds Free Mitsubishi Car Pack, New Horizon Story and More

Playground Games have revealed new details about their fifth major content update in their live-service plan for Forza Horizon 4, which sees the return of Mitsubishi with 7 new vehicles alongside a new Horizon Story and a new Online Adventure mode.

Heres an overview of all the new major content coming in this week’s update!

Free Mitsubishi Car Pack

One of the biggest reveals for Update 5 is the return of Mitsubishi, which will include 7 iconic Mitsubishi vehicles - from the Eclipse GSX to the Lancer Evo VIII MR -and will be free for everyone who owns Forza Horizon 4.

Last month speculation arose that Mitsubishi will returning with players spotting drivatars in Evo’s on Playground Games’ reveal stream for Update 4, so it’s good to see these vehicles finally return!

New Horizon Story

A brand new Horizon Story has been added with Update 5: Isha’s Taxis. Joel’s friend Isha wants to start her own Taxi Business, with the primary purpose of being the Fastest Taxi service in the world.

Completing all 10 of Isha’s missions will unlock the Austin FX 4 Taxi in addition to more Daily payout rewards.

New PvP Mode

The addition of a Free-for-all Adventure mode for PvP is coming with Update 5, something which aims to address the criticism around Team Adventure. Free For All Adventure, as the name suggests caters, to those solo players who enjoy Adventure and is available now in both Quick Play and Ranked.

New Car Pass Vehicles

Playground Games also revealed the next five weeks of Car Pass vehicles, with the brand new 2019 Porsche 992 Carrera S being the headliner of next weeks Car Pass offerings.

  • January 17th – Porsche Week: 2019 Porsche 992 Carrera S and 1993 Porsche 968 Turbo S

  • January 24th – Mercedes Week: 1967 Mercedes-Benz 280 SL and 1929 Super Sport Kurz Barker Roadster

  • January 31st – 2017 Maserati Levante S and 1963 Opel Kadett

  • February 7th – Ford Week: 1965 Ford Transit Mk I and 1968 Mustang GT 2+2 Fastback

  • February 14th – 1966 Hillman Imp and 2005 Honda NSX-R GT

  • February 21st – Hot Wheels Week: 2005 Hot Wheels Mustang and 2012 Rip Rod

Finally, Update 5 will feature several new smaller additions and bug fixes, including new cosmetic items to unlock in the Forzathon Shop and Seasonal Championships. Coming at a later date are an expanded garage, wall-riding fixes in multiplayer, with the possibility of paintable brake calipers.

Forza Horizon 4’s Update 5 is a free update for all players and will be available tomorrow (10AM PT/1PM ET/6PM UK).
