Forza Horizon 4 Developers Leak Future Mitsubishi DLC Cars?

It appears Playground Games have let leak a major reveal that Mitsubishi vehicles will be coming to Forza Horizon 4 soon, after originally announcing weeks prior to launch that the manufacturer will be absent from title.

The Playground team held a livestream revealing an indepth-look at what players can expect in Forza Horizon 4’s fourth post-launch content update, launching alongside the Fortune Island Expansion later this week.

During this livestream, many fans noticed that the build the developers were playing featured several drivatars in Mitsubishi vehicles, such as the Lancer Evolution VII and X. This has raised questions in the community as to if Mitsubishi vehicles will be coming back in a car pack in the not too distant future.

When asked on Twitter by curious fans, Turn 10 Studios Design Director Jon Knoles simply responded with “hmmmmmm”, potentially adding more fuel to the fire that Playground Games intend to re-add Mitsubishi vehicles into Forza Horizon 4 later down the line.

Several months back we reported that Mitsubishi vehicles will not be featured in Forza Horizon 4. At the time of this announcement, one of the developers from Playground Games addressed this issue with the following statement:

One absence from the above list is Mitsubishi. While our teams work hard to license hundreds of brands for Forza games, we can’t always align our fans’ desires with the interests of every licensor, as is the case here with Mitsubishi. As a result, we’re unable to include Mitsubishi cars in Forza Horizon 4 at this time.

While it seems almost confirmed at this point that Mitsubishi vehicles are being adding into Forza Horizon 4, it’s worth pointing out that these vehicles were originally showcased leading up to the games’ release and were removed closer to launch due to licensing issues. This build could simply be an outdated dev build that features the now-removed Lancers.
