After almost five years, EA Access, EA’s premium game subscription service, will finally be launching on PlayStation 4 later this year.

Back in February we reported that EA had plans to expand it’s subscription service to a new console, with all signs pointing towards the service making its way over to PlayStation 4.

In July, PS4 owners will be able to subscribe to EA Access for either $5USD monthly or $30USD annually, giving players access to a wide catalogue of EA titles including Need for Speed Payback, Battlefield 1, FIFA 18, Star Wars Battlefront II and much more, in addition to 10% discounts on all EA titles and DLCs.

EA Access subscribers also will be given access to ‘Play First’ Trials, which allow subscribers to play ten hour trials of recently released and upcoming EA titles including this year’s Need for Speed title and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order up to a week before release.

EA Access making it’s debut on PlayStation 4 finally will be perfect especially for Need for Speed fans, as it will mean that PS4 players won’t be left out like they were with the release of Need for Speed Payback back in 2017, with subscribers on Xbox One and PC able to play the game a week before PS4 players.

Will you be subscribing to EA Access when it comes to PS4 later this July, or will you wait until closer to Need for Speed 2019’s release to try the game early? Share your thoughts below!
