The Crew 2 The Chase Update and Motor Pass Content Overview
Ivory Tower have officially detailed all the new content coming with The Chase, its next major content update for The Crew 2, which launches on all platforms later today - including support for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
The Crew 2 Season 1 Episode 1: The Chase adds a wealth of new content including: a brand-new game mode, new vehicles, new vanity items and an all-new Motorpass progression system available once the content update goes live.
The Crew 2 will also get free live content rolled out to the game on a regular basis throughout the length of this Episode, including an additional 15 vehicle drops, LIVE summits, vanity items and more!
New Game Mode
Starting with this update, The Crew 2 will be adopting a “Season” approach to rolling out content under its new, fictional in-game production series, Motorflix. Each Motorflix Season will focus on a new theme and gameplay experience, with Season 1 focusing on an outlaw group trying to steal from a private bank Vault Corp.
In Episode 1: The Chase, players will be tasked with taking down the outlaws before they escape using Interception police vehicles.
At launch, 5 PvE events will be available, with a new event being added every two weeks across Street Race and Hypercar disciplines.
New Vehicles and Vanity Type
Following with the Interception theme, a wealth of pursuit-themed vehicles are coming with The Crew 2’s The Chase Update, as well as a few brand-new vehicles that don’t follow the seasonal theme.
For pursuit vehicles, the Lamborghini Veneno Coupé Interception Unit (2020) and Dodge Challenger SRT Demon Interception Unit (2018) will be available to purchase from the Hypercar and Street Race disciplines.
For brand-new non-seasonal themed vehicles, the Chevrolet Corvette C8 Stingray (2020) and BMW M8 Competition Coupe (2020) have been added to the Street Race discipline - which will also feature Interception Unit variants that can be unlocked through the Motorpass.
And for the first time in The Crew 2, a licensed addition has been added to the Demolition Derby discipline: the Dodge Charger R/T Hemi (1969). Like other Demo derby vehicles, this will be fully destructible making it the perfect car for player-made cops and robbers. (*eyes emoji*)
All of these vehicles will be available once the update goes live and can be purchased using either Bucks or Crew Credits, with more vehicle drops planned in the following weeks and months.
Finally, Rooftops have been added as a brand new vanity type, which can be purchased from the Far & Beyond store.
Motor Pass Progression System
The Crew 2 is getting a new progression system with this update in the form of a Motor Pass. The Motor Pass is an optional multi-tiered reward system similar to those found in many Battle Royale titles, that players can progress through by completing Daily and Seasonal Challenges.
The Motor Pass will offer 50 tiers of rewards to unlock ranging from new vehicles, Crew Credits and Bucks packs, vanity items and more. 11 tiers will be free for all players, with the remaining tiers requiring the Premium Motor Pass which starts at 80,000 Crew Credits.
Each Motor Pass will last for two months during the duration of the Episode, with a new Motor Pass coming at the beginning of the next Episode/Season.

Finally, it wouldn’t be a new update if it didn’t bring a brand-new batch of LIVE summits along with it. Ivory Tower have a selection of themes lined up, from Vault Security to seasonal holidays, via more classic brand-focused Summits.
New Premium LIVE summits return with a new selection of exclusive vehicles up for grabs - starting with the Ford GT Interception Unit (2017).
This fantastic Hypercar will be the platinum reward for the Vault Interception Unit Academy LIVE Summit, starting December 2.
