The first content update of 2020 has arrived for Gran Turismo Sport, adding three brand new vehicles and seven new GT League events for players to complete.

Here’s the full rundown of all the new content coming with Gran Turismo Sport’s February 2020 update:

Three New Cars

Three new vehicles have been added in this update, a much smaller number than what we usually could expect from a content update, which seem to line up with the communities predictions based on Yamauchi-San’s tweet earlier this week.

You can find the list of three vehicles and their respective classes below:

  • Aston Martin DBR9 GT1 ’10 (Gr.3)

  • Fiat 500 1.2 8V Lounge SS '08 (N100)

  • Nissan 180SX Type X '96 (N200)

New GT League Events

Seven new GT League rounds have been added to Gran Turismo Sport’s single player offering for players to complete, with two new rounds each in the Beginner, Amateur and Professional Leagues, and one new round in the Endurance League.

Here are the seven new rounds coming to GT League events:

  • Beginner League
2 new rounds added - 'FR Challenge'.

  • Amateur League
2 new rounds added - 'Group 3 Cup'.

  •  Professional League
2 new rounds added - 'Lamborghini Cup’.

  • Endurance League
1 new round added - 'X2019 Competition Endurance Series’.

And as per usual, various other smaller features, improvements and bug fixes have been implemented in this update.

This update is significantly smaller than any of Gran Turismo Sport’s previous updates, with Kazunori Yamauchi earlier in the week stating that updates will be “modest” in terms of content and frequency — signalling support is coming to an end after a solid two years of near monthly content drops.

One of the biggest telling points with support winding down for GT Sport is the looming PlayStation 5 - Sony’s next-generation console - set to launch at the end of the year. Polyphony have already confirmed they’re in development of the next title, could we see it later this year as a PS5 launch title?

What do you think of this update? Are you sad to see GT Sport support slowly coming to an end, or are you excited at the idea of Polyphony shifting gears to work on the next installment in the franchise for PlayStation 5? Share your thoughts below!
