With a lack of major racing games this year, as both Need for Speed and Gran Turismo 7 delayed to 2022, many rumours have pointed to a Forza Horizon 5 release later this year - with a new rumour suggesting that the title might take the Horizon Festival to Mexico this time around.

According to reputable industry insiders Jez Corden (Windows Central) and Jeff Grubb (VentureBeat) - who originally teased that Forza Horizon 5 would be launching in 2021 before the already-revealed Forza Motorsport title - Mexico is prime to be the location of the next title, based on their specific teases:

While it is worth taking something like this with a grain of salt, it definitely at face value seems like an obvious tease that the next Forza Horizon game will take place in Mexico, especially from reputable sources with a trusted background.

While we’re still yet to determine if it’ll launch this year, Grubb and other Xbox insiders have suggested a 2021 release, which if true, could potentially point towards an official reveal at Microsoft’s E3 presentation later this June as per other Forza Horizon reveals.

With no new Forza titles since the launch of Horizon 4 in 2018, breaking the franchises annual release cycle between Horizon and Motorsport titles, it’s increasingly likely we’ll see a new Forza game release this year, however with recent news of private Forza Motorsport playtests beginning soon, its unsure whether we’ll see Horizon 5 or Motorsport this year instead.

We’ll be sure to keep you updated with any future Forza Horizon 5 related news, rumours, leaks or announcements in the lead up to this title.
