Paul Rustchynsky, former Game Director for Evolution Studios responsible for Motorstorm, DriveClub and the most-recent ONRUSH, has announced that he has joined Slighty Mad Studios and will be leading a new project at the studio.

In late July, it was revealed that due to ONRUSH's poor sales, the Evolution Studios team faced major layoffs  at Codemasters only a few weeks after the titles launch. Rustchynsky was one of many staff members laid off, along with several senior members that had been with the studio for years.

Slightly Mad Studios' pedigree are in simulation racing games, with their most commonly known titles being the Project CARS and Need for Speed SHIFT series - a much different direction for Rustchynsky compared to Evolution's arcade racing pedigree.

The studio currently has the Fast & Furious license and has all but confirmed a title in the works, which could possibly be what Rustchynsky will be leading as Game Director, however it is currently unknown what game he will be working on.

As massive fans of Paul and his studios work, we're excited to see what he has planned for the racing genre next and wish him all the success with his future project at Slightly Mad Studios.
