Need for Speed Heat Prologue Gameplay and Starter Cars Revealed
Recently, BlackPanthaa went hands-on with a final build of Need for Speed Heat and today we've got an EXCLUSIVE look at the prologue race and opening minutes of Need for Speed Heat, including a look at the three starter cars players can pick from!
Need for Speed Heat begins with a news broadcast showcasing the return of Palm City’s annual racing exhibition, The Speedhunters Showdown, and going live to a press conference of Lt. Frank Mercer - Heat’s main antagonist from the PCPD - discussing his plans to lay down the law on street racers during the event.
After completing the prologue racer with your crew, you learn of Lt. Mercer true motives setting up the story of the Rogue Task Force that will be hunting you down throughout the game. The story then jumps several months forward and this is where your Need for Speed Heat adventure begins.

It wouldn’t be a Need for Speed game without a selection of low-end rides to select from, and we can reveal the three cars will be able to start their street-racing adventure with when the game launches next month.

Ford Mustang ‘65
BMW M3 EVOLUTION II ‘88
Nissan 180SX Type X ‘96
