Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered Officially Announced, Launches This November

After countless rumours and leaks, EA have officially announced Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered and will launch this November for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.

Revealed after a series of cryptic teases from official Need for Speed socials, the 2010 racer vs cop experience from Criterion Games is getting the remastered treatment complete with enhanced visuals for today’s generation of hardware, and will launch on November 6th (November 12th for Nintendo Switch) for $39.99 on consoles and $29.99 on PC.

At launch, Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered will feature all main DLC content from the 2010 original (for the first time on PC), in addition to an extra 6 hours of gameplay including more than 30 new challenges. new achievements & car colors, etc., in addition to supporting cross-play between all platforms.

Not only that, Hot Pursuit Remastered will feature a suite of new features and upgrades including: Improved navigation and reduced hard stops, enhanced car paints and colours, a brand new set of trophies/achievements, an improved photo mode and an all-new wrap editor coming post launch later this year.

For the first time ever, Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered will include cross-platform multiplayer and Autolog across all four versions of the game, ensuring no matter where you play you’ll always be able to get into high-octane pursuits with friends or the wide Need for Speed community.


On PC, Hot Pursuit Remastered will run at up 4K 60fps depending on your hardware, while on consoles the base PS4/Xbox One will run at 1080p 30fps, with 1080p 60fps and 4K 30fps options available for PS4 Pro/ Xbox One X. Nintendo Switch will run at 1080p 30fps in docked mode, and 720p 30fps in handheld.

While Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered won’t be available for next-gen consoles, it will be playable on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S via backwards compatibility. No news has been revealed whether Hot Pursuit Remastered will get additional enhancements for the next generation of consoles.
