Gran Turismo 7 Future Content Updates to Add New Cars, Courses and Much More

On the eve of Gran Turismo 7’s global release on PS5 and PS4, Polyphony Digital have confirmed that Gran Turismo 7 will be receiving the same plethora of ‘ever-evolving’ content updates as Gran Turismo Sport over the coming months and years.

Announced over on the official Gran Turismo website, Polyphony Digital released a blog spot detailing just some of the types of content we can expect in future Gran Turismo 7 updates, including new cars, courses and more:

・New courses
・New cars
・New World Circuits events
・More Mission races
・More Music Rally songs
・More engine parts to swap
・New Lobby features
・New Time Trials for 'Sport' mode
・Improvements to the penalty algorithm and overall quality of online races

While Polyphony Digital didn’t share any details of what cars, courses or content we may expect and when the first content update will arrive, Gran Turismo Sport’s first content update launched roughly a month after launch, so we may see an update some time in April.

Gran Turismo Sport saw near-consistent post-launch updates each month since release for almost 4 years - doubling the day one car list from 168 cars to 324, and adding triple the track configurations from 29 to 82. If Polyphony is anywhere as consistent with Gran Turismo 7 as it has been with Sport, then racing fans are in for an exciting next few years.

Gran Turismo 7 is out now for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 consoles. While we didn’t get access to an early review code, be sure to expect our review in the coming days and stay tuned for all the latest Gran Turismo related news!
