Forza Horizon Hot Wheels Expansion Officially Announced, Launches This July

After a previous leak on the Steam store last week, Playground Games have officially revealed their eagerly-anticipated first expansion to Forza Horizon 5 which takes players to the visually stunning and exhilarating new Horizon Hot Wheels Park in the clouds high above Mexico.

As previously featured in the fan-favourite expansion of Forza Horizon 3, Hot Wheels returns to the world of Horizon on July 19th for Xbox consoles, PC on Windows and Steam, and Cloud Gaming (Beta).

You can check out the new trailer showcasing the speed defying loops and stunts in action:

The new Horizon Hot Wheels Park has some of the fastest, most extreme tracks ever in a Horizon game, including more than 200km of twisting, looping iconic orange track and a sprawling Hot Wheels themed open world filled with new driving experiences, such as magnet tracks as well as ice, water flume and rumble tracks.

Horizon Hot Wheels Park also features four new biomes to explore, including the rugged Giant’s Canyon; the Ice Cauldron where frozen tundra drips into the glistening molten lava; Forest Falls which takes you high above the tree canopy and over epic waterfalls, and finally, the visually stunning Horizon Nexus, where the Horizon Festival is suspended among a web of Hot Wheels tracks.

Completing missions will unlock special ‘Hot Wheels Heats’ events which celebrate the history of Hot Wheels in a new five-part Horizon Story as you journey to become Hot Wheels Legend. New Accolades, Bonus Boards, Floating Piñata collectibles and PR Stunts have been added, as well as new Hot Wheels Seasonal Events which contribute to your Festival Playlist completion.

Over 80 new track and stunt pieces have been added with this expansion, with new props included within the Hot Wheels Creation Kit that can be easily attached and snap together.

The Hot Wheels expansion adds 10 new cars, including four new Hot Wheels scaled up to life size. Here are the cars you can look forward to driving in Forza Horizon 5: Hot Wheels, all of which are new to Forza:
