With DIRT 5 coming up on its first anniversary this coming November, the former Evolution Studio dev team Codemasters Chesire appear to be staffing up for their next project, currently being described as Codemasters’ “biggest and most ambitious game in over a decade.”

Spotted on EA Careers page is a new job listing for a Development Manger at the Chesire-based studio, with a job description mentioning the key candidate for the role will "‘help handle production of the studios’ next key project – which promises to be the most ambitious and biggest game that Codemasters has made in over a decade!

Codemasters was recently acquired by publisher Electronic Arts for $1.2B earlier this year, with EA CEO Andrew Wilson stating that Codemasters will continue to operate and publish games with the same creative freedom they have always done, just with the additional support backed by EA.

While not much is known about this project, Codemasters Chesire is made up of talent from former PlayStation-owned Evolution Studios, responsible for the Motorstorm series and DRIVECLUB, and have since developed ONRUSH and DIRT 5. With EA’s financial backing, creative freedom and very bold claims, the team could be cooking up something very ambitious (and hopefully more akin to Motorstorm/DRIVECLUB).
