Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds Expansion Releases November 7th

PS4 Exclusive Horizon Zero Dawn launched earlier this year in March, with both critical and commercial success for both Guerrilla Games and PlayStation - surpassing 3.4 million sales as of June 5th and achieving an 89/100 score on Metacritic. A seriously impressive feat for a brand new IP, and something people never would have expected from the Killzone developer.

Not long after launch, it was revealed the team at Guerrilla were hard at work on an story expansion for the title, revealed at E3 in June to be The Frozen Wilds. Today, Community Manger from Guerrilla, Jeroen Roding, revealed on the PlayStation Blog that the anticipated expansion will be launching on November 7th.

Back in June, we announced an expansion for Horizon Zero Dawn called The Frozen Wilds. Set in icy territories to the north, this new chapter of Aloy’s journey adds a new area to explore, new mysteries to uncover and new, highly lethal machines to take on.
Today, we’re happy to share that the release date for Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds is November 7th, 2017.
Pre-ordering the expansion will grant you an exclusive Banuk Aloy avatar - based on the tribe Aloy encounters in the main game and focuses on in The Frozen Wilds. Additionally, if you are a PlayStation Plus subscriber The Frozen Wilds will be discounted by up until launch. The Frozen Wilds will cost $20/£16/$30AU at release, or $15/£14.39/$27AU for Plus members.

Horizon Zero Dawn is without a doubt my current game of the year and am eagerly awaiting The Frozen Wilds expansion. Guerrilla have shown commitment to the game and the franchise as a whole, with constant post-launch support addressing bugs, adding fan requested features, as well as new content including New Game+, Ultra Hard difficulty, Face Paint and Focus customization, and poses for Aloy in photo mode
